Professor Trendler, who prefers to be called Teri (note the spelling), got her Bachelor's
degree in Biology from Biola University then went to San Diego State University
for her Master's in the area of Systematic, Evolutionary, and Organismal
Biology. She worked her way through school as a vet's assistant, tour
guide at Sea World, and tram driver for the Wild Animal Park. She began
teaching for colleges in San Diego then relocated to Pasadena and taught
for Glendale, Citrus and Mt. San Antonio Colleges before becoming full-time
at PCC. Although she specializes in human anatomy, she has taught
physiology as well as biology for both majors and non-majors. She loves
working with teaching assistants and the cadaver dissection team. Though she never finsihed her doctoral dissertation in Educational Leadership at
the University of La Verne, she has been put in charge of two grants from the Chancellor's office and organizes Girls' Science Day.
