The goal of this course is to understand the principles
of human diversity and how humans interact with the natural
environment. Anthropologists engage in field research,
involving intensive, on-site investigations into various
cultures around the world. Anthropologists use such information
to compare and contrast cultures and to develop general
theories to account for observed patterns of similarities
and differences.
